Man is it hard to quit smoking, you don’t want to know what I tried already but instead after each failing attemp to quit I started to smoke more afterwards. Like I had to compensate something. At worst times when I tried to quit I almost turned into an alcoholic cause of it. These nicotine plasters also didn’t help in any way. After a while I really got clueless but then a friend of mine pointed me at those electric cigarette ‘s. And wow am I happy that I tried these, it really enriches my life cause now it kills the boring moments cause I have something on my hands. At the start it was getting used to it but after a while I really started to like it. Especially these with cherry taste, lol, a lot better then regular cigs. You should try those as well.

I never thought I was part of the 1%. But as a citizen of the WORLD i am among the top 1%. The accident of my birth (being born American) has blessed me with comfort, curiosity, a PhD, and a Debt Free Life.
From Kenya, where I work remotely in America each day, I stand with the other 99% worldwide.

EDITOR, n. A person who combines the judicial functions of Minos, Rhadamanthus and Aeacus, but is placable with an obolus; a severely virtuous censor, but so charitable withal that he tolerates the virtues of others and the vices of himself; who flings about him the splintering lightning and sturdy thunders of admonition till he resembles a bunch of firecrackers petulantly uttering his mind at the tail of a dog; then straightway murmurs a mild, melodious lay, soft as the cooing of a donkey intoning its prayer to the evening star. Master of mysteries and lord of law, high-pinnacled upon the throne of thought, his face suffused with the dim splendors of the Transfiguration, his legs intertwisted and his tongue a-cheek, the editor spills his will along the paper and cuts it off in lengths to suit. And at intervals from behind the veil of the temple is heard the voice of the foreman demanding three inches of wit and six lines of religious meditation, or bidding him turn off the wisdom and whack up some pathos.

Once worn by Jacqueline Kennedy and Gloria Vanderbilt, Jeffrey Monteiro’s Bill Blass today is “the rich heritage of the Blass’ classic Sixties and Seventies archive - but approached with a view to aesthetically update and modernise the brand…surely defining his contemporary girl – and in so doing, anchoring the Blass name in the present.” Indigo Clarke, Vogue UK

Yesterday’s dyeing, on some of the Peruvian Highland stuff that’s far too accessible.
This one is Third Street Saints, because I’ve been watching my boyfriend play through Saints Row 2 the last few days and I wanted to do a DEEP DEEP purple. As per usual, my phone made it bluer but I think I’ve gotten it mostly right.

My family’s wealth has never bought happiness, love or health, but it has payed for surgeries, cell phones, homes, renovations, two college degrees, countless cars, vacations, organic food and top of the line vet care. Confused as to where I stand, at 26 I make poverty wages and rely on my parents, worrying it will all disappear. Let’s clear up the confusion! I am the 1%. I stand with the 99%. Redistribute the wealth to pay for healthcare, education and environmental welfare!

My colleague Jim Walsh of MIT, who is also a CNN contributor, has written a concise summary of Ahmadinejad’s weakened position — both domestically and in foreign policy. The item at the link makes a nice complement to my brief comments to NPR a couple of days ago (and posted below).

A legendary cheese shop in Greenwich Village with hundreds of imported, local and artisanal cheeses makes my little heart sing in joy!
Shooting a cheese story for Cup of Jo led us to this fromage haven to stock up for the Perfect Cheese Plate, the Adventurous Cheese Plate, & Perfect Pairs…. and then I died a happy-cheesey-death.
